How long does it take to sign up to Josari?

The signup process for a consumer can take as little as two minutes. Setting up a service takes 5 – 15 minutes. 

How do I maximise search functionality?

The search function is based on a set of keywords listed by the Advisor.

If you include a word that matches one of the words set by an Advisor, that service will appear in your search results. In conjunction with this, you can choose the ‘Advanced Search’ option. This allows a consumer to customise their search parameters, including:

  • Search category
  • Distance from your location
  • Price range

Alternatively, if you know the Advisors’ Josari Identification number there is also an option in the Advance Search that will enable you to enter this number directly.

I've lost my password. What should I do?

Please click on the Forgot Password link on the App’s login page and follow the instructions to retrieve your password.

I've encountered an error with the app. How do I report it?

Go to the Contact Josari Page on the app and fill out the form.

We will review your report and provide feedback / correct as needed.

What is the process for getting advice?

First, you need to download the Josari App from the Apple Store or Google Play store. Open the application on your device. Using the search function, you can find an advisor you wish to talk too. Press the start video chat button. This will redirect you to the login screen, where you will be guided through a step by step process to setup a consumer account.

How do I know my advisor is providing the right advice?

There are a number of checks you can do to ensure you are getting the best advice. Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Do they have a trade or professional qualification?
    Advisors can post a picture of their trade or professional qualification and add it to their images. Check that this matches their other profile details. Many industries have a website where you can check the validity of their membership and accreditation. Do your homework to ensure you are getting the right advice.
  2. Have they listed a website or social media link?
    If so, be sure to check it out. Ensure the link is safe prior to clicking on it. Note: this will navigate you out of Josari.
  3. Does their profile picture match who you are talking with?
    Advisors are allowed to use logo’s or avatars in their profile pics. While this is allowed, we encourage all Advisors to have a current photo of themselves in their images to enable you as a consumer to know who you are talking to.
How do I report an inappropriate / obsolete service provider page?

Go to the Contact Josari Page on the app and fill out the form. You will need to provide the Josari ID of the service provider in the free text field.

What does it cost to list a service on Josari?

Listing a service on Josari is 100% free. You can list as many services as you like.

Josari only charges for transactions that take place on the platform. Click here for further information on our Schedule of Fees.

How can I list a service?

To setup an advisor account, you first need to setup a consumer account.

Once the consumer account is setup, select the My Services button on the bottom bar and follow the prompts to add a new service. You can set up as many new services as you like. For further information on setting up a service, click here.

Once your details are submitted they will be reviewed by our content team before going live. Each new service submission will join the approval queue and is done on a first come first serve basis. It will normally take no more than 1-2 business days for your listing to be reviewed/approved.

What fees does Josari charge for each call?

Josari charges a 15% commission on the total cost of the call. The fee is debited after the call has been completed and it is taken from the total amount owing to the Advisor. For example, a call is completed and the cost was $20 total. The consumer would be debited $20 through Stripe. Stripe would then pay the advisor $17 and Josari $3 from the transaction.

How do I get maximum exposure for my services on Josari?

There are several ways you can increase your presence on Josari:

  1. Set your availability to the maximum number of hours you can provide advice each week.
  2. Ensure your profile is complete. More keywords, pictures and a detailed summary will get you higher rankings in search results.
  3. Don’t miss calls
  4. Above all else, provide a quality service with friendly advice.

Can I list multiple services?

Yes, you can create as many service profiles as you wish.

However, if a service profile is suspended due to misuse, all service accounts will be paused temporarily while the relevant problem is resolved.

How long will it take for my service to be live on Josari?

The time it will takes for your service to be approved will depend on how many services there are in the queue at any given time.

We aim to have a turnaround time of under 4 hours.

This time-frame does not take into account setting up your consumer account.

What happens if I choose to have a Private Profile?

If a Private Profile is selected, an advisors service will not appear in search results when a consumer enters general search terms relevant to that service.

The service can only be found when the service seeker uses the advanced search screen (home page / advanced search).

Advisors can individually set each service they provide to public or private.

Can I list my website and social media accounts on my services page/s?

Sure! We want to ensure customers feel safe that you are a legitimate Advisor.

Just remember, it’s in your best interest to ensure customers are still contacting you through Josari, as this channel offers direct payment for your time.

Should my rate include GST, Insurance, third party costs, and other costs of doing business?

The rate you quote should be an all-inclusive per-minute rate to cover any costs that are associated with doing work including insurance and other costs of doing business which you pay for yourself. Rates quoted are including GST unless you otherwise specify.
